Anna Silk
Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is an Canadian actor most famously known for her portrayal of Bo from the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk is a character from Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk's father is Peter Silk, a scholar and Peter Silk, an actor, director, producer, playwright, educator and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers watching her mother while at work, and also attending playing rehearsals. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still a child. She was in 1997 when she graduated with the degree of bachelor's from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk made the move to Toronto for further development of her acting skills in November 1999. She later, in her next ten years, moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an Los Angeles Actors Workshop in 2007. The couple was engaged in 2009, and they were married at civil ceremonies in occurred in December. On April 10 2011 they took their vows again in the Jewish celebration in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk was blessed with a son with the name of Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th, 2013. Levi Aaron, her second child was born May 13 in 2016. Silk is famous for her part on TV as Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009 she was recognized by her fellow actors for Gemini Awards. Silk was cast as Bo Dennis, a succubus on the Canadian television show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk became pregnant while filming the finale of season three. The 6th of January 2013, she revealed this to viewers at Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special. The day before, on June 4, 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the production start date for the fourth season. Then on June 20, 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she was ready to return to work on the show. Silk's portrayal of Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers who are identical on Lost Girl was named one of the most popular TV Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top TV Couple of 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's growth has brought a huge online following via social networks.
