Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born the 31st of January 1974. She is best known as Bo from the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk's father is Peter, an academic and Peter Silk who was a well-known actor, director, producer, playwright, educator and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers some of her earliest memories of watching and going to rehearsals for shows. Silk appeared in several commercials when she was a kid. Silk received her degree from St. Thomas University with the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced at least Two early productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk relocated from Toronto in the fall of 1999 in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Los Angeles Actors Workshop in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009, and were married at a civil wedding ceremony in December of that year. After she had converted to Judaism, they took their vows to each other again at the Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011 in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman was blessed with her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk's TV appearances include her role as Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she earned a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The year 2009 saw her hired as Bo Dennis, the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant while filming the final episode of the third season. She announced the baby's pregnancy to viewers during the Showcase Season Three pre-show special on January 6, 2013. Silk announced on Twitter June 20th that the show would return to production. The fourth season premiered in June of 2013 through Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. Silk's portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers who are identical in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple of the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Due to Silk's popularity Silk has cultivated a huge online following on social media.
