Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is an actor most well-known for her role as Bo on the Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk's father is Peter, an academic and Peter Silk who was famous for his work as a director, actor writer, producer, director of education, and educator at Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers some of her earliest memories of going to rehearsals of plays. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still in the midst of her childhood. Silk graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk was able to move to Toronto to further her acting career in November 1999. During the next decade, she moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at a Los Angeles Actors Workshop in 2007. The couple got engaged during 2009 and then married in a civil ceremony in December of that year. When she converted to Judaism, they took their vows to each other again at the Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011 in Fredericton. Silk welcomed the son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron was her second son born on 13 May 2016. Silk is known for her television role as Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009, she was nominated by her fellow actors for Gemini Awards. In 2009 she landed the role of principal character Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Silk got pregnant during the filming of the season finale. The 6th of January 2013, she revealed this to viewers in Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the production start date for the fourth season. On June 20, 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she would be returning to work on the show. The CNN Cable News Network named her character Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved television Couples. E! Magazine announced that they were the best TV Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to a huge online following via social networks.
